Reaffirming its dedication to fostering inclusion, AETOS embarked on an impactful six-month volunteering journey with the Movement for the Intellectually Disabled of Singapore (MINDS) as part of Project V 2024—a corporate volunteering programme by the National Volunteer and Philanthropy Centre (NVPC) to encourage sustainable corporate volunteerism.

Building on the success of AETOS’ partnership with MINDS last year, this year’s Project V, which started in July, brought together 108 AETOS employees and 136 clients from MINDS. Through this initiative, the volunteers engaged in a series of befriending activities with the clients, fostering meaningful connections with Persons with Intellectual Disabilities (PWIDs) and nurturing the spirit of giving.

The activities, which included morning walks, relay races, arts and crafts sessions, as well as an outing to Gardens by the Bay during the Christmas season, not only spread festive joy and provided companionship for the clients but also opportunities to build lasting friendships.

"Interacting with the same client over time and having him remember me and initiating to hold my hand left a lasting impression on me," recounted SSGT (APF) Manimegalay A/P Ahsogan from Foxtrot Division. "It showed me how simply showing up consistently can mean so much to someone. These clients are truly extraordinary, and I’m grateful for the memories and bonds we created."
